Presented in great condition and freshly serviced is this VC Phidias from the 1990’s. A rather under-the-radar model that packs striking aesthetics and connections to both the 222 and Overseas range. Thought to be produced circa 400 units total in yellow gold and split between multiple dial colors making this one relatively rare in its configuration. The watch is powered by the F. Piguet-based automatic calibre 1136.

The case and bracelet are wonderfully preserved, showing light wear from use with hallmarks and engravings clear. The bracelet shows no stretch and will fit up to 18cm. The bezel has appeared in catalogs featuring both blacked filled and plain gold numbering, this example being the later. (magazine pic in the photos below)

The dial is a beauty, rich in color and my pick of the variants as it works so wonderfully towards the overall aesthetic of the watch. The dial and hands are in near perfect condition.

The watch has just return from a mechanical only service and looking for a new home.
