Only watches we love. Our selection reflects our own tastes — mainly neo-vintage pieces, with a heavy bias towards complications and sports models from the period.

What We Love
It’s uncommon to see this reference in platinum, just 128 pieces were produced. The case remains in wonderfully honest condition, with deep hallmarks and crisp lines, showing signs of wear that reflect genuine enjoyment over time.
While much of the market’s attention is on skeleton and Tuscan Audemars Piguet Quantième Perpétuel models, this particular variant is rarely encountered and comes at a notably more accessible price point. The Roman numeral dial is especially charming, offering an understated look on the wrist.
The dial itself is clean and featuring a bright, matte white finish. The golden moonphase stands out nicely, while the pointed serif fonts lend a subtle vintage character. Based on the serial, the watch dates to the transition period between the old and new logos, around the late C series into the early D series, when examples can be found with either. This piece features the newer style logo, distinguished by the taller “A” and “P” at 6 o’clock.
It comes complete with its original platinum pin buckle and green folder box set. All in all, it represents a compelling and great opportunity within the steadily rising APQP market.
What You Should Know
The case back shows light scratches consistent with age and regular wear, likely from being placed on hard surfaces over time. I don’t believe the watch to be unpolished however the engravings and hallmarks show very little wear.
What We Love
Full tritium examples are increasingly hard to find, as they were produced for only a short period before the transition to Luminova on the hands, followed by the dials around 2000. This watch comes fitted with the “Marmite” bracelet, read on if you’re a fan (like I am), or feel free to skip ahead if it’s not your style.
The dial is truly exceptional, featuring rich, creamy hour markers complemented by hands in a beautiful tone. It’s one of the most visually striking examples we’ve come across. The case remains in very good condition, while not unpolished, it shows signs of careful wear and is extremely comfortable on the wrist.
The high-polish bracelet adds a bold, eye-catching presence, especially in sunlight where it reflects brilliantly. It’s a look I personally enjoy, and one that’s less commonly appreciated, which only adds to its appeal. The butterfly clasp functions perfectly, and the bracelet will fit wrists up to 19cm, with easily removable links for adjustment.
An Extract from the Archives has also been ordered and will follow the sale.
What You Should Know
Light signs of wear are present across the case and bracelet, mainly in the form of fine hairlines and minor surface scratches, nothing of real note or concern.
With a 36mm case and a 42mm lug-to-lug measurement, the watch wears exceptionally well on the wrist and feels far from small. In fact, it often surprises people, perhaps expectations are skewed, or wrists aren’t quite as large as imagined. I’ll leave that for you to decide.
