1990's Blancpain Villeret Rattrapante Split Second Chronograph 1186

£0.00
Sold

An incredible part of Blancpain history, a company brought back to life by F. Piguet & Biver in the 90’s. The Rattrapante model seen here played an integral role in the rejuvenation of the brand, being one of 6 masterpieces introduced by the duo. The ref. 1186 being the worlds first automatic Rattrapante Chronograph and a movement that was adopted by a number of brands such as Ap and VC power their chronographs.

The ref. 1186 is presented in wonderful condition, the case shows very minor wear with the stepped bezel and lugs thick and full. There is a nice rosey patina developing across the watch with the original buckle reflecting the same condition. To our eye the watch is near untouched (maybe just the lightest of polish at some point in time) with the hallmarks and engravings extremely crisp.

The bright white dial is flawless and the original tritium hands remain in perfect condition.

This watch offers brilliant value with rich brand history, we’re actively hunting and enjoying these 90’s Blancpains and know you’ll enjoy them just as much as we do.
