One of the more modern pieces to hit the shop, purchased as the aesthetics are plain killer and the annual calendar is undeniably intertwined with Patek Philippe’s history.

The condition of the watch is very good having only been worn lightly over the years. There are some hairlines and minor scratches as to be expected however the watch remains unpolished.

The dial is a deep and relatively dark blue, changing dramatically in direct light from bright to dark, gloss to matte. The symmetry of the dial combined with the calendar apertures makes it wholy attractive to the eye and a joy to stare at on the wrist.

So the size… on the large side for our usual curation, the case measuring 40mm however the lugs hug the wrist perfectly making it ever so wearable with the strap able to fall straight down the sides off the wrist if needed. It’s not ultra-thin however sits slightly lower than a Daytona. The wrist in the photos is 16,5cm and I wouldn’t advise wearing this watch if your wrist is smaller.

The movement finishing is top notch as expected, visible through the clear case-back.

The watch is accompanied with all the bells and whistles from new inc original NOS deep blue alligator strap.
