1991 Rolex 'Zenith' Daytona 16528
Sourced for a great client and friend, is this superb solid yellow gold 'Zenith' Daytona dating 1991, E serial featuring its original and coveted MK3 inverted ‘6’ dial.
Overall condition of the case and bracelet is very good having recently received a very well executed polish. The case edges and hallmarks are sharp with the brushed surfaces showing gorgeous texture vs the contrasted high polish on the center links and case side. The bezel is near mint and appears to be a later service replacement however still period correct.
The original MK3 tritium dial is in perfect condition as is the original handset, the dial itself is a gorgeous deep gloss with the black and gold combination being a classic visual pleaser.
Moving onto the bracelet there is little stretch and the clasp is the original early example with no flip lock, our favorite variant! The watch comes with box and oyster booklet only, no guarantee present. Miami Vice or Italian summer take your pick, either way we love it.
