An exceptional watch from the Maison exhibiting their classic or ‘classique’ DNA from the decorative dial to coin-edge case. This watch is a minute repeater, a model less commonly discussed from the brand in this period as the focus has historically been on the Chronograph and Tourbillon.

What I love – The dial is a true work of art featuring 4 intricate guilloche patterns and comes in perfect condition, a real standout vs other models in the classique range. The two sub dial layout, upon quick glance, could easily be mistaken for a chronograph but for those who know, there is something a little more complicated under the hood. The case is in great overall condition, the hallmarks on these early variants are on the inside of the watch, not to be confused for being polished off. The lugs are thick and the watch has its original pin buckle. Finally the chime from the watch is delightful, nice pace and pitch. Overall a repeater offering great value relative to the market today, at 36mm and as beautiful as it is I can see this landing quite happily in a wide variety of collections.

What you should know — The case has some light surface wear in the form of hairlines from over the years. Some light marks from historical strap changes - new lug bars have fitted from Breguet. The case has one tiny chip in bezel side at 4 o’clock, see photos, however barely noticeable. Comes watch only.
