Vacheron Constantin Overseas 42040 VC 2021 Service, Box and Papers
We are in love with this yellow gold, early 1st series, Gen 1 Overseas tritium model! As you may know if you’ve been following us for a while we have a (very) soft spot for precious metal. This full-set early 42040 is a fantastic example having just returned from a complete service at Vacheron accompanied by their 2 year international manufacturers warranty.
The guilloche dial is a particular highlight with the tritium markers and matching original handset in mint condition, preserved perfectly to this day. These early 42040 tritium hands/dial examples are becoming increasingly hard to find.
The case and bracelet received a factory polish at service, to note there are one or two small marks still visible, documented in the photos below, but overall an incredibly well maintained and visually pleasing example. The bracelet shows very light wear from use and remains nice and tight with all links present (the watch does sit up on its bracelet when placed carefully however one side can give way), the VC switch in the clasp functions perfectly.
The set comes complete with inner/outer boxes, original guarantee, COSC papers and more. We’re absolutely delighted to offer this for sale, there’s a lot of attention on the steel variants with the lesser seen gold models flying relatively under the radar.
