Circa 1987 Ulysse Nardin 411-22
Our first time handling this model and honoured to list it, a wonderful El Primero based chronograph produced by Waldan International under the Ulysse Nardin name. This model was made in very low numbers (catalogued at 40-50 pieces) with the star of the show being the semi skeletonized and hand engraved movement by none other than Kurt Schaffo, master skeletonizer.
The yellow gold case shows minimal wear showcasing fantastic stepped lugs and bezel, only the occasional hairline/mark to report. The dial shows little signs of wear, the most prominent to note is a translucent type mark on the 6 o’clock sub dial, hard to see but visible in some lighting conditions.
The strap is OEM NOS Ulysses Nardin, with a yellow plated Ulysse Nardin buckle fitted.
The X factor of the watch is of course the intricate floral engraving across the semi skeletonized movement. The work being some of the best, and most enjoyable, we’ve seen. A true work of art and visible to admire via the open case back.
Overall a tremendous amount of watch/art/fuction for the price tag, in our opinion of course, enjoy!
