A striking blend of platinum and rose gold, such a treat from Breguet with the combination rarely seen in their catalog. Dating 1993 this tourbillon has many characteristics from the 3350, including the gorgeous creamy dial. I’m extremely proud to have this watch in the shop and hope you enjoy staring at the pictures as much as me.
The case is in superb condition, lugs thick and all engravings deep. the way the rose gold subtly cuts through the platinum heft is a visual treat and real conversation starter for those who know (or who don’t!). The dial is preserved wonderfully, the hand-cut guilloche patterns synonymous with Breguet never fails to draw a smile. There are 2 very minor light patches on the dial around 9 o’clock position, visible from some angles and hard to capture in photos. The blued hardware compliments the color scheme delivering an overall striking aesthetic.
Here the head and original platinum pin buckle has been paired with a custom Handnn strap, in matching grey/rose material, I couldn’t resist!
Turning over the watch takes you to another dimension, equally if not more stunning than the front. The watch is powered by the cal. 558 and running perfectly. Floral decoration, hand done of course, is a stark reminder of the level of craft that went into each and every Breguet watch.
This is the first platinum Tourbillon to cross my hands and I can honestly say it didn’t disappoint. Currently priced at less than half the yellow gold example new from the boutique today I feel this is a rather appealing proposition for those keen to explore the history and horological royalty of Breguet and Daniel Roth in a wristwatch. Enjoy!
