1980's Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 6005BA
Made for only a brief period ca.1980 the reference 6005 has become incredibly collectible in its own right, not only due to its rarity but also the striking aesthetics, exemplified here in this example by the gorgeous grey diamond dial.
The condition of the rare diamond dial is near perfect with some light areas of patina starting to develop. The diamonds are bright and hands correct. The case is in wonderful condition showing only light signs of previous polishing with the champers and edges retaining wonderful shape. For a 40+ year old watch it has lived a very easy life! - please do view the photos below. The case-back serial is no longer visible - however the B Serial number is present on the AP service box (numbers all checked and correct.)
The bracelet is extremely tight and comes with enough links to fit a large wrist, 2 links have been repaired in the past. The clasp functions perfectly and the AP logo clearly visible on the flip-lock.
Having recently returned from AP where they fixed a crown issue the watch is in perfect working conditions and looking to join a collection of wonderful taste - will it be yours?
