No.6 — 1970's Heuer Skipper ref. 15640

1970's Heur Skipper ref. 15640
1970's Heuer Skipper ref. 15640

Designed for yacht racing, the watch features a 15-minute counter for tracking the start of a the race. Due to the nature of the ‘work’ these watches were produced for it’s rare to find one in such wonderful vintage condition. The dial is just mesmerising in its color and texture, case sharp and bracelet tight.

At 42.5mm its a large watch but with that comes a whole heft of character and history. Find it on mrporter.com

No.8 — 1977/8 Rolex GMT Master ref. 1675

1977/8 Rolex GMT Master ref. 1675

Does it get anymore more classic than a vintage Rolex GMT Master 1675 on a jubilee bracelet?

We love this example for the faded black bezel, much less seen than the red/blue ‘Pepsi’ counterpart. The jubilee bracelet, typically known for is comfort, adds a subtle hint of luxury to this historically functional tool watch.

If you’re looking for a classic with a twist this may well be it. Find it on mrporter.com

No.9 — 1990’s IWC Ingenieur ref. 3518

1990’s IWC Ingenieur ref. 3518

A lesser seen but classic tool watch in the curation, however with a rather aesthetic twist. Here we have the legendary Ingenieur by IWC original created to withstand magnetic force in the workplace, this example is the two tone ‘skinny’ variant, ft. contrasting yellow gold bezel and hour markets that complement the brushed grey dial wonderfully. Finished off with a custom Strap Tailor x Watch Brothers London taupe calfskin strap. Overall a real aesthetic pleasure on the wrist, even if we do say so ourselves.

With less than 50 of these produced over the 3 year production period this watch somewhat of a rare bird, also coming with paperwork however undated/unsigned. Find it on mrporter.com
